Live Music

After the success of the last few years events, we decided to carry on the live music theme but in it's own separate arena.

To give you an extra bit of entertainment. The 'Battle of the Bands' concept is one way in which the youth in the area would have an outlet for all their creative energy and having decided to create a concert arena for the competition with a professional outdoor stage, sound, lighting etc then we thought why not have a live band to add an extra dimension to the afternoon.

What a great opportunity to listen to live music on the big stage.

Well on Sunday 6th July, we have a special treat for you

To open the Battle of the Bands event starting at approx. 1.00pm,

with an introduction to this afternoon's musical entertainment,

we have last year's 17 - 21yr winners of the competition :-

'Rough Justice'

Tom Jackson (19) vocals & rhythm guitar

Jonathon Hinley (19) lead guitar

Frank Todd (19) bass guitar

and after a bout of Glandular Fever, Rough Justice welcomes back .....

Daniel 'Higgy' Higgins (19) drummer & vocals

a 4-piece classic rock band who play their own material and also cover bands such as Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bowie, Hendrix, Free/Bad Company & Bon Jovi. They have played at O'Gradys, Marton Country Club, Black Swan, The Station, The Grapes, The Number One Festival & the Dickins Inn

who are guaranteed to get those toes tapping and the kids up dancing

We will also have the 6 finalists from the Battle of the Bands Competition

who have successfully come through the preliminary heats and

Semi-Finals held at the Corus Sports & Social Club at Dormanstown
